Fantastic news. Common V4 hardware for all legacy Amiga models will greatly expand possible user base and market for new apps, created with SuperAGA and 3D in mind.
How will the Manticore be connected to the A600 buses ? Just piggyback over CPU ? As piggyback over existing soldered chips is notoriously unreliable for many users, this needs to be addressed.

I think there aren't other possibilities in that case.
Little A600 hasn't a CPU or zorro slot.

Will there be an IDE port to connect CD-Drives like on the Firebird and Icedrake?

Also will Interlace screenmode still have flicker?

Some enterprising 3rd party could possibly offer a solder on solution... but that's definitely tricky and likely to void warranty too.

It's great to see a solution across the range, especially on a common platform.

How far do you estimate we are from a stable, common target/feature set across V4SA, Firebird and Icedrake? Then how far out to bring Manticore up to same.

V600 user here. Happy with my V600 but will DEFINITELY upgrade to get some AGA love. The A600 has always been my preferred formfactor. I'm looking forward to this.

I'm guessing price will be around 600 euro's. Will there be a trade-up program?

There is no official trade-up program.
But you can always contact the shop directly and discuss your case.

I'm on it, since my V600 isn't working anymore.
The A600 was always my favorite machine.

HI Gunnar,
Any idea when these cards will be publicly available for purchase?
Will there be an order page?

I noticed that the new Manticore card will have an IDE port.
How will this device work in conjunction with the existing A600 motherboard IDE controller?

  Thank you,
  Alexander.
