Many thanks for Igor and team members who wrote drivers and apps, did testing and made this all possible! It was the result of many years of daily work.

Sorry for my post being ambiguous. I was only referring to him physically building my card and did not want to belittle any other achievement of the whole team. I think it is obvious, that all this is nothing one person alone can accomplish. Thanks to the rest of the team for all the work also from me.

I appreciate the candid update and always appreciate openess about all products and projects, so thanks. Thanks to Igor also for making my Vampire that brings new fun to this old Amiga 500 without breaking her spirit. I am more than satisfied with the development of this product and where it has reached its natural conclusion.

  There will also be V4 product(s) in my future, and it would be particularly gratifying to see a V4 accelerator inside my Amiga 1000 from 1985.

  If you guys do a 4000 V4 eventually as indicated, I hope design consideration will also be given to making that one work with the Amiga 3000 as well. Same CPU socket, but the physical fitting within the casing needs to be considered.

  Thanks, team. Thanks, Igor. Take a break, man! :)

THANK YOU IGOR FOR ALL THAT YOU'VE DONE....ENJOY....

The HOLIDAY, while it lasts. ;-)

I'm surprised that you are building a "new" Vampire instead of a NEW VAMPIRE.

Any "secret plans" for a N E W Vampire X?

X = unknown number

Same for my A3000 as well .. its currently factory/stock save for some extra mobo fast ram.

@Gunnar,
  As Thomas Hirsch is back, it would be nice to have him presenting himself explaining his comeback and his vision for the future being technical or not and his role on the team.

@Gunner
Your updated roadmap doesn't mention anything about 3D development. Is the 3D development still planned? If yes, will it fit on the V4?

Will we see V4 on A600?

@ Gunnar and Apollo Team:

Great news on the new accelerators! Looking forward to the Firebird and IceDrake! Thanks to Igor for your support - you helped me save my Vampire 500 V2+ from death :)

Keep up the amazing work!  For now I will enjoy using my Vampire 500 and 1200 - they are working very well with CoffinOS.

Good question and wise to ask it now to avoid another debacle.

Let us again clarify this.
There is currently no model planned for the A600.
In theory a Firebird-500 could probably be fitted in an A600 with a ribbonwire adapter, but we have no such adapter right now.

So core 2.12 is the last core for the v2,so that means that i cant use Appolo Os on my v2, unless i use one of the Beta cores using the blaster that i dont know how to use, not all of us feel confident in using a device and the software that i have to download, would it be possible to release the Beta core to the EXE file so i can just use the flash option  :)

Regards
Mark

The reason why there are no cores for all cards with ApolloOS yet,
is very simple AROS was never fully tested on real Amigas.
Aros today has a issues with some mainboard /chipset versions.
We found these issues and also fixed some.
We are working on fixing more in Aros but this takes time.
When all these issues are fixed we can make a release for the cards.

Thanks for the clarification. I missed the part where it was stated, my apologies.

re firebird-500 fitting in an A600

  the original CPU in the A600 is soldered in place, the V2-600 had additional bus mastering firmware to take-over the bus from the onboard CPU. I would imagine the Firebird500 won't have that logic, as it by design entirely physically replaces the original 68k.

  I figured that the V600 was the test bench for the V1200, as that also has a CPU fixed inplace that the vampire has to negotiate with to take control.

  so TLDR, you'll probably need to clip off the 68k soldered to the mainboard of the A600, and run some wires to a socket to connect the Firebird. do-able, but not really a straight plug in option as far as i understand it.
  otherwise, to not remove the soldered on 68k, an A600 specific core for the firebird could be written to execute this initial bus mastering at startup?

All this is very exciting otherwise, and i look forward seeing where all this goes! i still have amiga's needing to get vamped :)
