APOLLO-BLOCKS this brand new game will be released at OUF party at 7.6.

Apollo-Block features:

Addictive game play for two players in parallel.
24bit truecolor display and modern 960*540 screen resolution.
16Bit HIFI/CD-Quality Audio
The game is free!

This nice game was written by Arne, one of our younger team members (13 years) and was coded on V4 using 100% ASM. The nice GFX were done by Kevin.

is this V4 only, or for all Vampires ?
24-bit truecolor implies usage of RTG graphic (which all Vampires have)
16-bit audio implies usage of either AHI or native Arne audio (V4 only)

Yes this is a game for Vampires.
The game uses 24bit and 960x540 screen.
We do this because this make the game look great.
Why make it less good looking?
The game uses directly SAGA, it does not use RTG or any layers and it does not depend on any software. The game uses the improved SAGA register layout of the V4, as this makes coding so much easier.
For R7 in summer our plan is to backport the same register layout to V2. R7 will allow this game and many other games which are in development right now - also to run well on V2.
The game uses 16bit audio and 16bit makes it sound so much better!
The audio could in optionally be lowered to PAULA levels to be classic compatible and we plan to do this in the final version.
Our plan is bring out, one casual game per month now.
These games will be included on ApolloOS, with source!
We hope that publishing the source will help more people to learn how to quickly code some nice game.

This is all great news, you've built an amazing platform and now the idea of making content for it is fantastic :)

Thanks for the great work guys :)

Is there somewhere we can see more information about OUF Party?

That is excellent news. I was hoping the SAGA features of V4 would be backported to V2/V1200 as well, so all vampires would be compatible.

Yes of JAKE and PEPPY are several videos on youtube and the free game download you can find here:
EXTERNAL LINK

There was alive stream on Youtube showing the play of Apollo-Blocks.
The game is addictive and plays nice. Based on the feedback from the players on the Amiga party, Arne will make some minor changes the next week and then also document the code a little more clean. I would expect that the game + source is then ready for full release end this month, begin next month.
