Yeah, well..

So what exactly do you need Vampire for? If you do this "hack" and connect RPi and A314 to your A500 and run it on your Vampire V500 then you've got the same result.

But it's just a hardware hack with software front end, it's not really "Spotify on A500". I really dislike the misleading clickbait title of this article.

EDIT: More honest approach would be some solution described in this EXTERNAL LINK article, but it will still need a "Spotify Connect" device to receive the controls (no playback on the 68K there, either).

Haven't tried it yet, but spotify released an application called SpotiAmp, one of the features is the ability to stream your spotify music via a Shoutcast stream which Amigaamp can play. Still requires a second machine, but it's likely a solution without the need of addition niche hardware.

Not sure what the question is, you can already just perfectly well use netradio on Amiga.

The question is how to enable Spotify on vampire.

Here’s some documentation alas the browsers are most likely not supported:

If podcasts are target, there is AmiPodder

I doubt native Spotify will be avail for AmigaOS 3.x

There is some sort of "over Wi Fi streaming" - Spotify connect app for MacOS Classic that you could use on MacOS emulation

I read on a forum that the Amiga community (PPC) bought an AmigaOne and gave it to developers they know at Spotify but nothing was delivered.

This is an extremely interesting bit of kit that opens up many possibilities.

One possibility might be to use a raspberry pi as a spotify client and somehow get it to output via a stream that can be listened to via net radio.

You could conceivably write a UI to control it over the network.
