I'm guessing that a few of the discussions were culled because they were veering off-topic?

Totally understandable, but it may be worth considering a Misc section as many of the conversations do begin from, or lead to, productive outcomes.

yes Misc might make sense.
But frankly some discussion could still be to off-topic for this forum... and not help us here.

Purpose of this website is to support Apollo users..
To answer question, help coding etc..

i think gunnar is right removing useless tirades, natami forum has been flooded with, to the point that any actual information was impossible to find. this shouldnt degenerate to a community small talk portal. anybody who wants to, may head to aw.net to satify their urge.

the apollo accelerators forums EXTERNAL LINK might be better for misc/general chats.

"many of the conversations do begin from, or lead to, productive outcomes"

It may be better to start some threads at a non-Apollo site and then copy and paste the useful bits to an Apollo site.

"the apollo accelerators forums EXTERNAL LINK might be better for misc/general chats"

From what I can tell, the major difference between the forums at apollo-core and apollo-accelerators is that individual messages in threads can be deleted at apollo-accelerators but here at apollo-core entire threads have to be deleted.

And just as many of those contentious conversations do NOT result in productive outcomes.  There are a handful of folks who troll this site continually and post the same negative comments as to why they don't like this project or because they think the Vampire is missing a "pet" feature that they just can't live without.  I'm glad those comments/threads have been removed.

Perhaps a simple suggestion would be to include a link to the accelerator forum in the masthead.
