Thanks..

  Updated, but vampire flash bricks my card.

  Any idea when vampireflash will be fixed/released?

Should come soon with a new SAGA Driver Package update, which will include also a new P96 driver for V4. Expect it this weekend.

Will ENVOY work with 2.13 or will it still crash the whole system?

I have a Question for the Core2.13

Is this V500_7319_x13.jic Core for Vampire V2+ or is this Core better V500x11_r7645_GOLD213RC1.jic ?

And what is the better and newer Core ?

Regards Antonio

Is it normal, that my V1200 2.12 OS3.1.4.1 gets only 113.6 Mips? If not, what can I adjust to raise it?

If we write it like this istead maybe its more easy to compare.
V500 r7319 x13 GOLD212Beta.jic
V500 r7645 x11 GOLD213RC1.jic

Final Core 2.12 is rev 7389 your first file is rev 7319 so close to final.Also that core is x13 in speed.

Next core in your list is a release candidate (RC) for core 2.13 and x11 in speed.

As to what is better. Normaly newer rev = better.
And it can also bring better speeds on same multiplier. X11, x12, x13.

So I leave that up to you to try.
Normaly you find the updates on the wiki
https://wiki.apollo-accelerators.com/doku.php/vampire:accelerator_core_updates
and there you also can see a change log.

Hello Niclas A ,thanks vor your reply !

Your Answer means ,that the Core V500 r7645 x11 Gold213RC1 is the newer Core ,and have the better speed as Gold2.12 X12 ?

Paying such an expensive Vampire V1200 so as not to be able to take advantage of its full potential is frankly not serious. We have the choice between using the fast vampire IDE without pcmcia or using the slow motherboard IDE with the pcmcia ...
  It is not very serious.
Where is the latest firmware that we can use both the pcmcia and the vampire IDE port.

You have to wait until it is ready for release

X1 = 7,14 Mhz (stock speed of the Amiga 500)
X11 = 78,54 Mhz
x12 = 85,68 Mhz
x13 = 92,82 Mhz

With that said Mhz is not everything.
Example.
Core Gold 2.9 x12 did a render in Lightwave that took 51:06 min
Code Gold 2.12 x12 did the same render in 50:36 min

So you see even though the Mhz where the same on both versions of the core 2.12 did it better.

So you have to try and see.
But on same core higher x is better :)

Gold core 2.13 x11 is slower then Gold core 2.13 x12.

So I have some feedback on this core so far! its a little bit unstable on my orginal run Amiga 600 V2, the card was stable on the 2.12 and has had the power fixes... I get random mouse freezes/hickups and random restarts no set patern, also seems to run hotter than the previous core? is that even a thing?

Package is now updated with the V600 core.

Is there any chance we can see an x10 release?
My Vampire 2 overheats massively with this x11 if I put the cover on. I tried using heatsinks, but, it made no difference.

Is there something wrong with my Vampire 2?

I had the DIGITAL-VIDEO power fix done. (It's a Kipper2k one)

When I was having overheating problems with my Amiga 600 it wasn't the vampire heating up, but the original 68k processor underneath the vampire, think some situation with poor contact causing it to warm up.

I still have this problem the area around the vampsocket and 68000 gets hot and the heat makes the pins on the socket to contract causing a green screen frozen amiga - I have to let it cool down and push gently the top of the vamp socket and i am good to go again - i get between 30 mins and an hour before I encounter this and its so annoying does anybody have a fix? and before anybody suggests its the socket its not - Majesta Fitted a new socket a few months back and I can pretty much lift the amiga by the vamp!

Cool! What is the advantage of having Akiko on the FPGA?

Dual IDE + Akiko??

With a booting CD rom on motherboard's ide it seems possible to have a CD32-mode on our v1200

Thanks for the update!!!

First question: Is there anything besides Buffers i have to set, to get full IDE speed?

  Right now SysSpeed shows me 3,25MB/s on my CF card.
