Yes, it will be. That card will probably be the last in release candidate line.

Thanks for the info Simo.

I'm intrigued about the changelog. I love diving into the technical details, but because I'm a bit of a dummy, there are a couple of things I don't quite understand:

Simo Koivukoski wrote:

What is FMUL/FSQRT and how does the user benefit from the improvements?

Simo Koivukoski wrote:

Although I know what turtle mode, what is PCR?

Thanks guys for your awesome work.

Those are FPU instructions which works better now with the some apps and demos (e.g. Plotter3D). With PCR Turtle you can lock the Turtle mode on, and e.g. WHDLoad can not override it then.

i didn't get much chance to play with this last night, but what i've seen looks good.

  bustest chipram speed is 3.5MB/s for every test
  sysinfo = 103 MIPS and 55 MFLOPS
  sysspeed = 99MIPS and 22 MFLOPS
  AIBB FPU tests = too quick to really get any context! :D
  Povray bench completes in 26 mins and 16 seconds

this is a Rev5 A500,
Vampire is mounted on a Lazarus board that plugs into the side expansion port,
Agnus swapped out for a mini megachip 2meg upgrade,
Denise swapped out for an ECS Denise on a indivisionECS,
and a half meg + RTC expansion in the trapdoor.

Let's go one card at a time. Let's start with the Vampire 500.

argghh....V1200 please. ;) Thanks for the update. :) Does the new V1200 features now work with all A1200 boards?

Does this fix the Shapeshifter/Wolfenstein problem for example?

Please mind that some old Sysinfo did errorsly prevent the 2nd CPU pipe from running.
If you upgrade your SYSINFO, then you will see what performance the CPU reaches when running normal with both pipes active.
You should reach 140 Mips.

That we need to still test when RC1 comes out. Majsta must finalize V-IDE before releasing, but he is currently moving into a new apartment while trying to keep Vampire production going. So we have to be patient he is really busy atm.

Unfortunately not. If the root cause comes the need of 80-bit precision from the FPU then no. In case of MacOS is better turn FPU off if the MAC application does not specifically require it.

ForceATTN_844F did that trick, but basically run 'VControl FP 0' before starting Shapi and Wolfenstein will run just fine.

Updated, but vampire flash bricks my card.

Any idea when vampireflash will be fixed/released?
