Thanks Hugo.

FAQ is growing to be informative, answer to most common Qs as well as providing general insight in Vampire and state of Amiga community now and here. I am enjoying working on it, but more brains and hands matter.

Please support by providing Questions, Answers, Links. Every contrib will be signed.

RTG and ECSWHDLoad (V4 SA and GOLD3 AGA section?) need a heavy testing update, its old as SILVER cores. List of incompatibile titles will be generated too, and is most welcome.

All text (be it questions, answers, phrases) is WIP and subject of change. Is NOT official until CENSORED by the team and publicly published. Might shrink or split to few documents or website sections.

Currently, these are sections (expanded by old FAQ ones, and all answers I can gather from forums):

  HARDWARE RELATED QUESTIONS
  1. Cases (V4 Vamps)

When V4 arrives, it would be best to test AGA titles and non working ECS titles. Please try Lotus, used to make a lot of trouble on any expanded machine.

We got Jojo blessing

And a discussion about use of his art and purchase of games with his gfx

José (jojo073)

8:54 PM (1 hour ago)

to me
Hi. You have my permission to use the Cobra graphic in your publication, also the graphics of my game Cornered-do for Commodore Amiga.
My games can be downloaded from the web in ADF format. Although not all. I intend to remove them from the web because I suffer many attacks from trolls. So my last game is no longer in free download, you have to request it by email and I will send it to the email in .ADF.
I also do physical editions of my games, in 3.5 format. Its price is 10 euros per game. I usually charge by paypal since the buyers are from many countries, but if you don't want paypal I can give you a bank account and you can make a transfer of the cost of the games you want and the shipping costs. (I think I have sent games to almost every continent)

Some of my games I have made with a programmer and musician. Although it is not always possible, people don't feel like it or don't have time.
Currently I collaborate on a couple of projects with a programmer for a friend and one for a master system.
When I have a programmer because I make games with a programmer, when I have a musician, I make games with a musician. If I don't have a musician or a programmer, I use a game editor and a music editor, so I make sure I can continue producing my games.
I have no problem collaborating on projects with other fans. I also have no problem adding musicians and programmers to my projects. I have many projects that were abandoned by programmers and that could be good games for Commodore Amiga.
Anyone who wants to collaborate in my projects or that I collaborate in theirs just send me an email and make a proposal. If it's in my hand, I'll sign up.
There is information about my pixel art on my website, floppy disks with slideshows, games, projects, prizes, etc ...
greetings and good luck with your publication.

Did you get everybody's blessing?  I believe you have honorable intentions and that you want to just help other users.  Which is really nice.  Thank you for contributing to this community!  But I must sadly ask you to change your FAQ.  This document is NOT edited by the Apollo Team.

  Let me repeat this statement

THIS DOCUMENT IS NOT EDITED BY THE APOLLO TEAM.

Vojin: you need to make it clear in that document that you (and your collaborators) are the principle authors.  You need to make it clear that your information is based on forum or IRC conversations and not simply write "edited by".  Quoting someone one time from IRC doesn't mean they are now an editor of the document.

You need to also have this document proof read to make sure the information is written correctly and is accurate.  For example, this sentence below makes absolutely no sense:

"Non-illegal binding disclaimer: Answers in FAQ are users and not official opinions in style
but we tend to provide correct and update information and are grateful to any and every one!"

Let me make one last statement.  Our official FAQ and Wiki is here:

  EXTERNAL LINK

The contributions to our official wiki have been done by many including Flype, TuKo and FMuadib.  This information is checked and well thought out.  Those contributors have put many, many, many hours into that work.

(- Needs reading and fact correction by team)

    Lets go around:

    - As requested above, I have asked for team edit, no one was assigned. Now, just let me edit v1.03 and do whatever you like.  have provided UK proofread TO TEAM EDIT.

    - Started job when FAQ was in way worse shape with Gunnars blessing
Intension was to gather messy info and keep it updated. So far so good, but wont do that onwards. Too much hustle and little support from both community and team, and daily job to do.

    - Intent is integration with old FAQ and replacement as I believe this one offers more as well as having DOCUMENT not just web page

    - Gunnar should be reading it and shold be edited.More eyes the marrier.

It will be official once you claim it so. Markers and disclaimers are put forehand, you are free to change, add etc.

Surely, I have also put many, many ... hrs and this FAQ pays respect to all website contributors.

Its based on user contributions and quotes. I have clearly marked my opinions. If you need clearer direction and style, please edit as you like (thus DOCs and editable formats are provided)

Personally, I believe it should have heavy team edit and integration with FAQ and then be provided with models on SDCard and printed. Something I missed a lot with both Classics and NGs.

    Thanks for the feedback.

Also, one of primary motives is to both use GOOD info from this fora, as well as to try to avoid REPETITION of most common questions again and again.

It could be done with Wiki FAQ or this FAQ when done link in same manner as IRC channel support.

"Non-illegal binding disclaimer: Answers in FAQ are users and not official opinions in style
but we tend to provide correct and update information and are grateful to any and every one

This is in proper English and are making a clear disction between official tech documentation (not in existence) and user provided feedback FAQs of the BBBS and Usenet era.

In the end, I believe you are too much into legal aspects and every word. Do what you like with it, I have provided to the best of my knowledge and efforts.

Surely, edit the paragraph, do not just display it as incorrect. Or completely remove it, if you consider it as "double". Its a team protection.

Edited by team should mean more accuracy then leaving user opinions, exactly.

The team has it's own Wiki and FAQ.  The team has already put a lot of work into that and continue to do so.  It could well be that information you have collected has made it's way there already!  You have quite an extensive list.  Very impressive in terms of the volume of content that is covered.  The problem here isn't that you created your own FAQ.  The problem is that some of the people you listed as "Edited by" are Apollo Team members and were not happy being listed as editors.  Did you ask each of them first?

The phrase is "Legally non-binding......" and has nothing to do with FAQs.  It also isn't the point.  It is that the wording in the FAQ is sometimes very confusing and makes it difficult to understand in places.

No, I have gathered info from all sources and listed people whos work used, like science quotes. I dont go beyond that.

If you wish to hunt every Amigan from a post to real contact - all I can say is GOOD LUCK! There is no central info and links of team to do so, but most of TEAMs YT links etc. are listed.

Really sad thing about humanity today. So they dont stand for their own public words and advices?

Legaly non binding means exactly "this is not something you can sue us for" - Illegally binding is inside joke on exact legal fears you display (and Gunnar too, increasingly)

I had enough. Have your "not so rich" FAQ, EXTERNAL LINK    and this one will go only as user Telegram group.

Please provide list of "unhappy people" to remove them from contributors (not editors, its gratitude list!) as well as their quotes which should be removed. Would be more than happy to oblidge. Sooner the better, this is last night of free will work for good of such people.

Final edit will be done by Pedro, so direct all nagsayings to Telegram group.

It will remain community only FAQ and will never mention the team.

    Your new contact is vamped.amiga@gmail.com
as well as for all GOOD and EGOLESS people that wish to CONTRIBUTE and AID EACH OTHER and are not so LEGALLY AFRAID.

Also I will delay purchase of v4sa, until it gets more power stable to my likings etc. Maybe next model. Will live with x86.

As promised v1.03 MINUS
EXTERNAL LINK

PDF direct EXTERNAL LINK
ODT direct  EXTERNAL LINK
- Removed stores
- Removed any mention of team as endorsed or read or anything
- Added graphics
- Added future LAN and 3D core for v4SA
- Added joystick support
- Added Hemidal and FTP utility
- Few cleanups

Needs:

- To exclude some people and answers of their linkings
- To cut my answers as desired
- To add non working v4SA titles, big job (Jacub is the man!)
- To add some more Amiga software and websites
- To integrate what is good from Amitropia  EXTERNAL LINK  - To search Vamp Wiki official and add links and new info in team style
- Grand rework in the end on index in the end
- Team can still kick in, do it with Pedro. Dont bother I.

Pedro is now the man, strictly community (Rasta) bussiness. As usual, dont count on LCCs and STRs (Serb. independent trading companies)

Done for good, live long and prosper :)

No, I have just quoted properly each and every one, and I would kindly ask them to go from one to another and ask for written permission to quoting them in public speech (forums).

Since no one has contacted me (and e mail is clearly avail since day one of FAQ, its regularly send to Gunnar and promoted here and even on IRC) can you please let us know WHO to remove from Contribs and what to delete, since you have raised the Q?

Tommorow, another update will be released.

Any links to team are removed in terms of relations to "community FAQ" and it wasnt edited by team at all. Even it was offered since 0.1, which I find - teams loose of interest, not mine.

So this situation is slowly improving.  That is good.  But you still don't understand one important thing.

A Contributor: Someone who has made direct work to your FAQ.  This isn't a quote from IRC/Forums.
An Editor: Someone who has performed the activity of editing your FAQ document.  This also isn't a quote from IRC/Forums
A Quotation: Someone made a statement (e.g. in a forum, on IRC or on slack.com) and you wrote it down.

Much of the information from the Apollo Team which is in your FAQ is in this last form.  That is ok.  But it doesn't make them automatically a contributor of your FAQ and you shouldn't list them as contributors.  In the same way that Bill Gates saying "640kb is enough memory for anyone" doesn't make him a contributor on Wikiquotes.org.

Please remove the following people from the "Contributors" list on page 3, unless you have received express permission from them:

Tukko (correct spelling is TuKo)
Simo
Majsta
Pedro Cotter
Manuel Jesus
Flype
Ground Work (correct spelling is Grond)
Marlon Beijer
Big Gunn (correct spelling is BigGun)
Wawa T
Ronie Back (correct spelling is Ronnie Beck)

Vojin Vidanovic

Thanks for corrections. Will go through document and edit names properly - I was copying the info and putting names on my own, so they are closer to "my spelling" then good one. My bad, my apologies.

Dont forget document is provided in editable form, so you can edit it on your own and just return the result.

I agree in overall approach, but you see real editors are only me in those terms and Jacob as game tester. Hugo as adviser. In other aspects it does not have a "magazine editorial" as you propose.

Everyone else is quoted, and in my eyes deserves a SHOUT (mention) before we go - thats a contributor. Not in sense he has personally been involved, but that his text has been used and thus contributed.

I will remove the listed, but I find that unfair, as their text is used.

I understand team does not want to have anything to do with it (because of the form and idea to keep its current wiki). Could inform me before.

I am more interested in text edits, not just list.

    Thanks.
