Someone should consider talking to these guys and provide a solution to the quirks and a real update comprehending their needs and situation , at a competitive price :

Existing Use Case Nr. 1 : Grand Rapid School District : 19 Public Schools : Michigan
  30-year-old-commodore-amiga-still-controlling-heat-ac-19-public-schools

" As loyal as the Commodore Amiga has been to the Grand Rapids School District, officials are still considering an upgrade to a newer system that would cost them up to $2 million. "

I say : It would be wise to get sure they keep using an Amiga Powered Solution

" It's a very unique product, " said Grand Rapids Public Schools Maintenance Supervisor Tim Hopkins. " How it runs, the software that it's running, is unique to Commodore (Amiga) . "

I hope someone sees this chance & drums together what's needed to make a proposal .

It would be good to try to bid or get something going for this school district before they go to a solution that'll never change again in the next 20 years..

I'm in the US if I could help somehow.  I'd do it just for the learning experience (background -  IT Infrastructure PM).

Hi John,

Someone needs to get a hold of the guy who wrote and still maintains that software. In the article it says that he lives in the area (district/city) of those schools.

He could say, "you get 6 brand new computers and I can re-write (enhance) the software for the new systems, if necessary; $50,000.oo".
