Well you see, Phase5 are NOT back, that’s it.
It was just some a-hole who tried to scam people, and he did fool quite some ppl.
In my opinion, he should be thrown in jail for the scam he tried to pull

  Don't hold your breath....

  .....
seriously don't hold it. It is not good for you.

I mean you can hold your breath but eventually your body's self protective mechanism will make you breath again.

I really don’t see what you’re getting at... you just saying stuff bro?
Are you bored?

  3. Recently at Amiga32 Salvador showed up as the CEO of Phase5 and he sold a few PPC Blanks for about 140 Euro a Pop which......were completely missing the Ground Plane. Yes these brand new board were totally missing a ground layer.

Exactly! It’s all just an elaborate scam!
He’s comiting a crime called fraud!

He doesn’t know shit about electronics! If he did he would have at least made sure the boards connected the way they are intended to, but without a ground layer it’s a no go!

@Vojin, do you believe Phase5 is going to come back for sure? And actually create and sell new Blizzard accelerators?

Whole product range? With no production and repair? Seems he will TRY to have something to sell.

If he got the original prints for the boards, he would have all the layers, even the ground layer. Correct?
With the benefit of a doubt, the print for the ground layer could have been lost, or the pcb manufactorer could have messed up and missed a layer.
This is however quite implausible. To a new customer, a company creating pcbs would want to show that they can be counted on.

Ok, so I realize that you don’t know me or what I know or do not know, so I will tell you.
I am 37 years old. My first real electronics project was converting a joypad to work with my Amiga 500. I was 14 years old. At 16 I had an internship at an electronics company in my home town. At that time I had changed the 1.2 rom to a 1.3 rom in the same A500 without anybody telling me how to. I just understood how that worked. I learned more stuff at this company where I was. I actually built machines there, and later in college, I majored in electronics.

That’s very brief, but just this brief insight into my past should tell anyone who knows anything at all about electronics, that I should know that the ground layer must exist on the boards, OR that at least connections from one ground point to another, to the next, and the next after that, and so on, MUST exist!!
There is NO question about this, what so ever, for those who knows something about electronics. With no ground, you WILL have an incomplete circuit.

So, his bad ways of comunicating with other people aside, he can be rude or mean, or just bad at PR in general, but if you don’t test the connections on boards that you order, so you will know that it will work, you don’t know jack shit about electronics. That’s him, this ”VD” of ”Phase5”.

So ok, let’s say that he is actually serious about selling working Blizzard accelerators, he will need to hire an electronics engineer, or at least someone knowledgable enough to solve the problem. I could have solved it, but him alone? Not a chance. If you sell those cards and claims that the one who bought the ”broke them” (seriously?), he either doesn’t care about his reputation, or doesn’t understand that he is ruining it.

Vojin, I respect you, but I just want to tell you, and everyone else who believes this fraud, just let it go. It is very unlikely (unfortunately) that Phase5 will really resurface

There is much of sarcasm, in my posts. If he had *products* they would be on sale by now.

Friend of mine explained to us on other forum that exporting GERBER data is quite complicated process for someone without proper knowledge. Phase5 probably used Protel 95-98 to design the PCB and the ground layer could get lost during the data export...

To make this clear.
This new Phake5 is NOT a real company.
There is NO office, there are NO employees.
There is nothing designed.

Its just 1 guy mis-using an old trusted name to scam people.

I am not defending that guy. I just tried to explain what could have gone wrong with the new boards.

"Original Phase5 probably used Protel 95-98 to design the PCB and the new guy could make a mistake during the data export" That's all.
