| On Silver9 package is a fastmem patch for 'AmigaOS ROM Update'. With Silver9 and patched 'AmigaOS ROM Update' you can use Amiga OS 3.9 BB2 and 'SetPatch QUIET' in the normal way. If you want to use same CF-card without Vampire, you need to replace 'AmigaOS ROM Update' with the original one.

The patched rom causes problems with gold core, the cpu is detected as 68020 @ 120mhz that's why is not included For BB2+ it's best to use SYS:C/SetPatch SKIPROMUPDATES "scsi.device,exec.library" QUIET

| A new patch for "AmigaOS ROM Update" is included in latest GOLD package. Generaly, NOROMUPDATE should do used to do the job from GOLD core.

| Hi I have used Afaos (Skin software) on Silver 9 without any problem. But when update firmware to Gold .. Afaos dont work anymore... Amiga crash when i try to acess any drive or when i try to execute something. I´m using Os3.9 BB2 Afaos add C:morelibspace before Setpatch. without morelibspace Afaos doesnt work. If i install Silver 9 Afaos works again. Any help here? Regards Pedro

| Probably because AFA wants to use a FPU now. I've tested this scenario with WinAUE emulating a 68060. With FPU enabled no problems, with FPU disabled exactly the problem you describe. It did boot but as soon as you try to open a drive or window the system crashes. So stick to silver 9 until the FPU is added to Apollo-core or not use AFA with Gold 1 Core is the only option.

| Is this an FPU detection issue or was there enough of an FPU in the older core to actually run the FPU code in AFA? The system requirements for AFA on the website state 68030+ with FPU but they may be out of date, I don't know.

In previous COREs FPU was 50% enabled. This made some software runs (Like Sysinfo) But for MAC OS is better to disable all FPU. We so for now disabled all FPU instructions. We will re-enable all again when all of them are fully done and tested.
