Hopefully they make installing/running roadshow a 1st bootup question/option to disable it for those of us who DONT WANT IT.

You know, like how it checks to see if your vampire is using the most recent core, and prompts you to update right then/there. They could do the same with roadshow.

I agree, but i also think roadshow is great. I paid for it and i Love it.

The name is confusing. It's not an OS. It's actually a distribution of Amiga OS.

Rename Coffin OS to
"Coffin"
and market it as an "Amiga OS distribution optimized for Vampire".

I saw R55 on a Vampire4 today at  the gamescom. I talked very much with Gunnar. Really amazing. I tried it too. Best classic Amiga i ever saw. He wanted to sell me one but have at moment not the money for it

could you guys make the final ISO 64 Gb.

Right now, 32Gb doesnt leave too much free space to install  more stuff, modules, mp3, renders, etc ??

or is an easy way to extend DH1 and take the space of 64Gb Compact Flash card ?

I've done it, but it's not straight forward,it required WinUAE, Partition the 64GB card similarly to the coffin image. Mount the Coffin image and used Directory Opus to copy the files from each partition to the 64GB card.

Unfortunately there is no easy partitioning expander that I'm aware of that even in Linux for Amiga filesystems...

Agreed.  I have a number of additional WHDLoad images beyond the set included as well as a number of apps I’d like to install but there really isn’t any room left on a 32GB image. If it’s a 64 Gb image that’s nearly 1/2 empty it shouldn’t be a much bigger zip file in the end.

I would still really like to not be strong armed into buying it .. and I don't really need networking beyond whatever Miami provides.. I fail to honestly see why its such a big deal to just make it an optional first-boot question .. Make Miami or some other free stack the default and ASK if the user WANTS Roadshow .. owners will likely want it and already have a key handy.. no more nagging / timeouts etc.. This configuration it has now seems backwards to me.

You have an sd card on your vanpire. Mount it at the boot of the system and you will have even 128gb more if you want. If they change the image size everybody will have to buy 64gb cf.. it's a non sense proposal

You may not be able to expand DH1 but you can create a third partition. Look for a program called FixHDDSize (I think it's in the System/Tools folder). After running Coffin knows that you have 64Gb und you can create a new 32Gb partition.

On 64gb Coffin idea ...

32gb is well enough for lot of WHDLoad games, ScummVM etc. data and game files ... What should be included that is not there? Demo scene archive? :) ucLinux or AROS m68k partitions
once bootable? :)

Problem was it was "true" 32gb so some 32gb cards could not handle it due to missing size (formatted size is always smaller then declared).

It also hosts Atari EmuTOS and backup partition for AmigaOS.

So far, people have requested smaller stripped AmigaOS only partition, it existed on torrents for r32 or so.

Having a bit smaller (10-30gb) and even 32gb+ one would be best for smaller cards and smaller IDE drives and 32gb+ for 64gb+ card owners.

Yeah, honestly it might be nice if it could be broken up a bit...

Follow me here:

1 image that sets up say a 16GB setup that provides just the base OS + tools.

1 image for another partition that includes apps / rendering / etc.

1 image for all the games / emulators / etc.

And maybe small images that set up the various partitions for the combinations of the above.

That way people only pull down what they want/need.

Just a thought... Regardless, Coffin is awesome and I could only imagine how much time it took to set that all up. But I would like to be able to set up a larger partition for the games as there's a number of WHDLoad images I have that aren't on the coffin image and stuff on there that I don't really care about and would remove, but I'm sure that's the case for everyone since we all care about different things.

Ideally, just the base stuff would be installed, rest would be LHAd in some Archive place, and some nice Amiga GUI installer could provide extras install :)

Optionally, a strip image of pimped OS + apps + Atari + backup (or better to say, no games or data files) would be nice to see for many reasons. No matter how big or better small.

There should be options. I think most users want the Amiga stuff. So a version without that $#$ atari stuff would be much appreciated. My two cents.
