It's worth asking for a quote

That's amusing, the CBMStuff site that Renaud linked to is Jim Drew's site. It wasn't long ago that he was threatening to take legal action against the Apollo Team for his software being included in Coffin. And now he's offering pre-orders? Lol

But Renaud..it's already the time to preorder v4?
I see that v4 is working right now, but it seems a bit too early to preorder..don't want to preorder something without knowing how mutch it costs..

I was just making fun of Matthew who asks a question for which he obviously already knows the answer.

Next week will be posted a new Activity Report which will mostly be about V4.

Great. The activity reports are a good way to keep people updated and informed on apollo core and vampire hardware. An open communication to the existing and potential vampire customers is the best way to achieve v4 success.

I totally agree with Stefano. I have the habit of publishing the activity reports on my Telegram channel. In this way I try to help the community to keep informed about the fabulous work of the Apollo team.

A wise phrase and a motto for all believers in the Vampire's future.

Indeed. I would imagine that there are a couple of problems for retailers like Amigakit (and Apollo team).

Firstly, how do you manufacture enough and how many of each version?

Secondly, how do you fund it, if you want to order 100 of each card Apollo team have to have the funds to pay for all the parts and the retailer has to be able to pay for all the cards in one go. If the cards cost £350 (made up price), then they will need to find £70k to order them!

I think the V4 standalone will very quickly get in to 1000+ sales, the only thing holding it back initially will be the ability to fund and manufacture them.

Good problems to have though!

Once we have got round that we need new Cases and Keyboards to use them with :-)

How about a kickstarter project to build a 1000 of the stand-alone models. It removes the funding blocker and should reduce the product costs

Nobody said funding was actually a problem :-)

Sweet! Thats good news.

I bet you still run out though :-)

Like I said, it's a good problem to have.

Renaud has made so much money from his karaoke performances, that he can singlehandedly fund the project in advance.

True story.
