Another reason why myself I hate Hyperion. They are party crashes and destroyer. I really want AROS to take over. AROS is...is like windows 10 or 7 or xp or whatever Windows you guys like most or MacOS X or whatever modern OS with all bells and whistles and cool features but for Amiga.

If I was to switch away from AmigaOS to a different OS I would pick AROS.

I think the word hate is too strong in my case but I will say that I have a severe dislike for Hyperion because of their broken/unfulfilled promises and business practices.  Ben Hermans tries to bully and intimidate anyone and everyone in the Amiga community with legal action.  I'm sure he lays awake at night thinking of ways to screw the Apollo Team out of some cash.  He had no interest in supporting classic Amigas at all until the Vampire came along.  Now he's litigating over the Kickstart ROMs and OS3.1 and offering to update 3.1...No thanks Ben.  As the saying goes, when you can't innovate, litigate.  Ben has that one down to a science.

Where do you have that? Certainly not from Thor

unlock custom chipset features and CPU... you must rewrite parts of the OS to "unlock", there is no intention from Hyperion to do that, even Thor (Thomas) is critical regarding Apollo specific features. There were a lot of discussions regarding that in past. At best they implement what they already own and fix bugs, not more or less

Hey Olaf

if you decide ( as team ) to cooperate with HYP please be very cautious.
we all know how they function and their multiple legal threats the community
talked years later about.

something tells me that aros is far more better way to go forward.

Vampire is the first light in long and painful Amiga licensing period. HYP
did not helped to Amiga, they actually were one of main elements who contributed
for Amiga to stay undeveloped. They do not deserve to be the part of your team
on any level.

[continuation after "So maybe in time ...]....., they will discontinue supporting 68000 to 68080 and future libraries, enhancements, OS, applications and games will be exclusively for 68080.

That is my fantasy. That is my dream. My dream that the 68080 will be the next 68000 when 68000 1st came out to Amiga and it was a major hype when A1000, A2000, A500 etc used it. Then in the future we will have 68100 which would be like 68020 in the old times and then 68120 which would be like 68030 in the old times when they 1st came out and was a major hype and so on.

My dream that no one would ever come less than 68080 for their Amiga and the 68000-68060 is long gone and dead in the Amiga community.

But again, I am dreaming.

HAH!!!!

What "DREAMING"?

It's HAPPENING RIGHT NOW!

Everyone that gets a standalone has "moved on"... With the security of everything they HAD continuing to work!

The standalone will be the #1 owned and operating AMIGA in under 3 years from it's first availability!

It's small, and boots up the fastest, too! As close to a portable Amiga as we're going to have for a LONG time.

It'll CRUSH.... wait and see!!!!!!
